Prepare for your appointment

How long are appointments?

We have three types of appointments depending on where you are in your journey to find your dream gown or accessory.

  • First Wedding Gown Appointment: 1 hour 30 min

  • Follow Up Appointment: 45 min

  • Accessory Appointment: 45 min

What is your cancellation policy?

All appointments (includes accessory appointments and follow up appointments) required 48 hour advance notice of cancellation or reschedule from the date and time of the appointment. If less than 48 hours notice is given a late cancellation fee of $150 will be charged.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing your favorite “no-show” underwear or shapewear and wearing nipple covers or a stick-on bra. What ever makes you feel most comfortable is always the best option!

How far in advance should I purchase my gown?

We recommend purchasing a gown 9 months prior to your wedding date. Most gowns take about 6 months to make, and alterations take about two months.

How many guests should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend bringing 2 or 3 of your closest friends or family members. Bridal gown appointments are one of those situations where less is more. The more people that are present, the harder it becomes to hear your own voice and process your own opinion about each gown. If you would like to bring additional guests, we can comfortably seat up to 5. However, if you are in a situation where you’d like to bring additional guests we will be as flexible as we can so please reach out to us to talk it through.

Where should I park?

Metered parking available outside of our building and a parking garage is located dicretly across the street from the front of our shop. Meters are free on Sundays!!

Should I bring shoes to wear during my appointment?

It is not necessary to bring shoes with you for your appointment. We do not recommend wearing shoes during your appointment because the gowns are too long, and if you are wearing heels this will increase your chance of tripping. We recommend trying on wedding dresses barefoot because it is the safest situation. If you’d like to see how a specific pair will look with a certain gown we are happy to help you try those on while your standing in a gown, and we will help you take them off before we walk back to the fitting room.

If I order a “made-to-order” gown will it still need to be altered?

Yes!! Every made-to-order gown will need alterations. Alterations are a normal part of the process and help to achieve the desired fit of every bride.
